New Truck

I got a new truck yesterday! Horse camping and trailer towing is going to be fun in 2010! I wanted to let everyone know I am recovering from my car accident. Thanks so much for all the care and concern from all my blogger friends. I didn't realize the swelling, the bruising, and the stiffness that would follow my accident. Having never had a concussion before, I didn't realize how "tipsy" you are and that nausea and headaches that come with that. I spent my weekend on the couch, not on the trails as planned. My stitches came out this week and I and waiting to see how bad the scar is across my eye. But I am on the mend and trying to figure out what car is next. The truck is a hauling vehicle for the boat and trailer, but it will tide me over until I find my daily driver.
I drove the new truck out to see Maddy. My little Cairn Terrier, Ellie, enjoyed the ride out into the country (she rode up front, not in the back---just in the back for photo). My dog and I went for a little walk on the trails, since I have to hold off the riding for a little while longer. I am ready to have life get back to normal...days of sleeping and talking to insurance people and thinking of dealing with car salesmen are no fun. As you all know, I'd rather be riding!

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Recovery does take a long time and even though it's annoying you are doing the right thing by taking it easy.

Love the new truck, good luck with it! Your little doggie is so adorable, what a cute face and picture.

Awesome truck! 4x4!!! Much better. Glad you're recovering, those concussions are something else, aren't they? After my horse accident, I spent a week in bed, literally. Getting up was the worst!!
Glad you're going to be ok and you're in a truck now.

Whew! I am relieved to hear you are finally on the mend. I was afraid when I saw the picture of your injuries that it would take some time before you were OK again. Just take it easy and don't overdo until you are back to 100%.

The truck is super. And Ellie looks adorable "decorating" the back. Glad to know she doesn' ride back there as that always scares me.

Here's hoping it all works out well for you in the end regarding the everyday vehicle too. Think of it as as opportunity to get something you like.

Feel better! *gentle hugs*

Very nice truck! Hooray for the hauler.
I'm happy to hear you are healing. Before Spring arrives you will be up and ready for a trip to the beach with Maddy.
I can't even comment on your previous post, it makes me so sick, but thank you for sharing. Life is not all roses afterall.

N-I-C-E!!!! Enjoy that new truck. I hated to have to tell you that it was going to get worse before it got better, but I'm glad you are taking it easy and not pushing anything. Maddy will enjoy the vacation I'm sure!

I've been away for a while and I am so sorry to see you were in an accident! I would not want to get on a horse with a concussion. Take care of yourself!

I totally feel your pain girlfriend. Days of redtape and injuries are so draining. Glad to hear you're taking good care of yourself. This too shall pass. At least that's what I tell myself :-)
