Legendary Art

There was an open artist studio in Portland today that I went to check out. Near the back I spotted them....a whole herd of beautiful sculpted stoneware horses. The artist is Jan Rentenaar. You can see more examples of her work here. She says, "What you see here is myth made reality by the hand of a sculptor." My IPhone pics don't do them justice. These horses are stunning and as you stand back and look, you see characteristics in each one that resemble the horses we know. I ended up getting a beautiful green one that reminded me of Maddy. It had a floppy mane and big cheeks. It would seem I handed Jan a photo of Maddy and said "Make this horse!"

She's a talented sculptor. I'm glad you found one that reminds you of Maddy, I love finding horses that resemble ours.

I can see the likeness of Maddy in that last one. Perfect choice.

A little off topic, Guys... I have a question. Two days ago I looked at this site:
Rivalspot.com - Play Ps3 tournaments for cash
They say you can play online sports game tournaments on any console for cash... had anyone tried that before? Looks like a cool idea...
Are there any other sites where you can play sports games for real moneys? I Googled and found only Bringit.com and Worldgaming.com but it looks these guys don't specialize in sport gamez. Any suggestions?

Oh wow! How lucky that you came across such a perfect piece of art depicting Maddy girl! I would love that so much!!! I am currently having Karen McLain (on my blog list) do an oil for Linda who own's my other favorite horse, the spotted app. who has terminal cancer, for Christmas. She is so reasonable, and paints in OIL! Her work is amazing and Linda cried after I told her what her present was going to be this year.... I believe good art is worth its weight in gold.... Gotta start getting some and stop buying tack!

I love these horses! I live in Canby. Where in the Portland area do you live? I have been doing Parelli for 10 years now and have some friends nearby that study it also. We get together sometimes to help each other. I thought if you are close enough you may like to join us.
